Using 344.48 here. First driver with newly-bought GTX760, no comparison.

I'd be more interested to know whether installing Quadro driver could help. On GTX860m it shows 15%-30% improvement in Passmark.

EDIT: reply to myself, changing to Quadro driver 340.84 (faking as Quadro K5000), no difference in performance.

Hi guys I've installed the latest 344.65 driver and Patch 15.1 (Emperor Edition Hotfix 1) today and repeated my measurements on the Rome 2 benchmark. I have very weird results with a minimum FPS of 24 (spike) on very high settings and also some other things. Overall the performance decreased a lot (up to 7%) compared to my last tests with 344.11 and patch 15 (Emperor Edition).

Is there anyone else running 344.65 or even an older driver and do see this low spike on very high presets in the benchmark, I am just curious.

here I've posted my results as usually for the last 13 months.

have a look in my linked thread. But this question is not easy to answer because every GPU model might respond differently and I know you don't drive a GTX 670

no I have not tested this driver yet, but I just updated my benchmark comparisons now for patch 16.1
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-December-2014

Good news, this patch fixes the low FPS problems that Patch 15 caused! With patch 16.1 the game is nearly in his fastest state since release! Amazing.

Hi there just benchmarked the latest 347.09 driver (final) with Rome 2 patch 16.1.
So far there are only very neglible changes (lower performances) compared to the earlier 344.75, but again it is very very neglible on my rig, so I think it is safe ok to update in regards of Rome 2 @OSDEA

Don't know if this driver is the cause but since I downloaded it I am getting severe lag spikes during battle mode. Back dating to see a change.

you reported that earlier Osdea but I cannot share this experience with you. The time when you reported that was also a previous driver to 347.25. You should give the new one a try.

Hi there I have done the benchmarks with the 347.25 driver today and for a very long time I was able to measure an overall benefit compared to 34x.x drivers across all settings (except high-preset).
The performance gain on my rig was about 2%, this sounds not much, but based on the previous results Rome 2 performance since release has gained quite good on high-end settings (maxed out / extreme).

+13,38 % on maxed out settings since release*
+8,65 % on exteme preset since release*
+0,64 % on ultra preset since release*
-2,80 % on very high preset since release*
-1,29 % on high preset since release*

Given the fact that the performance for the last 3 presets has decreased a bit and they already were much more performant with an earlier patch state (patch 7 / 8), I really hope that CA will also invest some time to find out why the lower presets have lost about 10% performance compared to patch 7 and 8 and only the first 3 preset peform substantially better compared to release.

*patch 3 - because benchmark was bugged before

more details available in the performance comparison thread.

Hi everyone, I've added some prove about the great performance the driver 347.25 has in Rome 2 and compared the this new driver on Rome 2 RTM and later patches (p. 3, p. 7, p. 16.1)

a new nvidia driver is out again (347.52) but so far it would not recommend to install it as it causes a subsequent issue with Nvidia Experience will fail and close with an error message "Geforce Experience encountered an issue and need to be closed"

This error is just annoying and I advise you NOT to revert to the previous driver rather don't use Nvidia Experience at the moment and wait for a hotfix for the Experience module. I will link it once it gets available.

Yeah, i seem to be having some issues now that i have a new card, i have everything maxed out and also run nvidea inspector with settings that are recommended with GEMFX. Anyway noticed that all the buildings especially the barbarian settlements have really low textures? this i never saw with my 760 card. any ideas why this is happening and do you recommend a driver that is solid? thanks

Hi there, NVIDIA acknowledged the Experience Application issue and is working on a fix. Just for me the issue is gone atm, so it seems they already fixed it and 347.52 can be used.
