Since they are going into Gameplay and AI changes more, they said that the Patches won´t be that frequent anymore. But still in weekly territory, not monthly.
I think thats a bit of a double edged sword. On the other hand it will make modding easier because you don´t have to rework your overhauls and other stuff every week for a new patch, going for longer terms here might be a bit better.
On the other hand I hope they will keep up the necessity of patching, since there are still huge problems with the game that have to be fixed and without the pressure progress reports and results it could make CA lose their focus a bit on the urgency of patching.
I guess we´ll have to see, they definitely need to make more reports and announcements of the current state. That might even be more important than silent patching since it shows their will to continously patching and working on the game.
no they havent and they said that they are already working on patch 7

Patch 7????Wouldn't be easier to redone the whole sh..........))At least they will win a first place in most patchable game charts ever!!!!
that indeed can be true, and even PR statements can have proofing errors, but its not uncommon for development to have something like that, patch 6 should be undergoing testing right now, and given the multiple areas and personnel that is needed to make a patch is quite common to have a release of patch 4 and be working on patch 8 at the same time

I hope something at last, will be done for fps drops!
I wish they would finally manage to improve battle performance with patch 6. That's still my biggest game issue beside the passive campaign AI.

guys, I think they work on several patches at once. patch one got a set of problems, and you leave what you can't fit into patch 1 into 2. and do the same with patch 3, 4 n 5. I guess ca plans 3 or 4 patches ahead. they will still continue on improving performance, it is still high priority, it just won't be top priority. this was taken from the last CA announcement. for those of u guys having performance problems, what are your pc specs? my old pc is 3.2 ghz duo core, 460 1gb, 4gb of ram. it can only play on low everything except ultra unit sizes, this is the same pc that handled shogun 2 with almost max settings. it also handled witcher 2 in 1080p with almost max settings, one of the most demanding pc games of mid 2011. fps is about 25 to 30. I get slow downs when the battle field gets more than 5k+ men. campaign map have no lag, but suffers alot from pop ins. I hate, hate the freaking pop ins. all previous TW games didn't have that problem. my new pc that is about a year old have zero problems so far, just can't handle extreme settings. this is all on patch 4, play about 4 hours worth. I haven't touch patch 5 yet as it breaks all the mods and my own tweaks.
