SATA2 question
Hi to all,
I've just bought my new pc, witha mobo that support SATA2 and a HD that make the same.
I have to install winXP, and I haven't yet understand if I have to installa SATA2 drivers (in the first part of winXP installation ) anyway or only if the installer didn't recognize the HD.
Bacause one of my friend installed it without SATA2 driver, and another one tells me that he had to use the drivers.
Thank you

Re: SATA2 question
The original version of Windows XP did not include SATA(2) drivers, as Windows XP pre-dates the SATA era.
So you had to install SATA drivers before you could install windows.
I think new versions of Windows XP do include sata drivers, but I'm not absolutely sure.
Does your version include service pack 2?
