Congratulations to the winners!
Our quill-equipped warriors of the TWC have blessed us with the presentation of their creations, and furthermore, entered the Writtenseum, with steel-nibbed quills and reed-twined shields, to rip each other a new paper hole and spill each other's ink. Surely in such a scenario we are only to be pleased by such gory pixelshed.
However, from the brave writing nation of TWC, I would expect nothing less of our talented, and ingenious aspiring writers. Here are the winners for MAARC XLVI, with a slightly delayed winner thread:
From 16th century Feudal Japan, comes a tale of unheard of proportions...
...The story of a young Japanese archer, named Yuki, a simple man who finds himself in complex situations. Yuki is pitted with difficult decisions, throughout the story, and must forego the stresses and complications of war, love, and finding his place in a war-torn country. Clearly, this story has most certainly pleased the greater populace of the voting base, as our FIRST PLACE Merchant of Venice's Way of the Bow has solidified a first place finish in this competition.
Awarded for obtaining six WSCM points
A most expected outcome, from an aspiring content writer for TWC, Merchant of Venice has done his CQ colleagues honour with his victory, and has garnered himself his first medal on TWC. Congratulations, MoV!

The next decision was not quite so easy. These two truly powerfully-written tales differ in content matter drastically, yet still forced to forego an initial split decision by the voters for the second place finish of this month. It is not unlikely to have a tie in competition voting from the fine AARtists of the TWC. After an intense voting period, with a masterful two out of two total votes, our SECOND PLACE General Retreat's Swords of the Sea, achieved a decisive victory over the well-established third place tale, whom we will delve into shortly...
Swords of the Sea, alike the fantastically devised title, most certainly had its share of bloodshed and dramatics (of which we would expect from a tale of war), and takes us from the aforementioned tale of the furies of Feudal Japan, to an entirely different era...
...We rewind back to medieval England, at a time of great uncertainty, in the fury of violence that scourged the British Isles. William of Normandy enacted his own claim over the land by conquest. One of the most important historical figures in English history, he set the precedent for complete control of England, ending the plight of multiple rulers which kept the country divided.
General Retreat tells this story in immaculate detail, putting his own spin on the events surrounding the brilliant Norman conqueror.
The unique presentation of this AAR, from its outset, has let writing and some imagery fully capture the events of General's own story of conquest, and the trials and tribulations facing the Normans as they take control and forcibly unite the country. In a story of emphasis which has been tried many times in the past, General has laid the foundation of a unique and promising story unfolding luckily before the eyes of his intrigued and persistent readers.
Certainly deserving of the tie-breaking victory, and enshrinement as second place in this month's epic competition.
As an intriguingly capable novice to our home, welcome to the Writer's Study, General Retreat!

Third, but certainly on par of the quality of the first and second place finishes, our THIRD PLACE, Chirurgeon's The Nascent Ranger has again yielded a top finish among AARtitans. Surely, this is no new tale to your eyes. We head back to the ice-laden plateaus of Skyrim, in a fantastical universe of medieval-era warfare, Chirurgeon is one of our faithfully brilliant Skyrim-AARtists! His endless tales, from An Orc in Skyrim to The Nascent Ranger have captivated readers for a long time, and it is with profound joy I have yet another opportunity to announce him as a top-finishing victor in this competition.
Where will Faendral's journey take us next? Only time shall tell...
Surely, The Nascent Ranger will be sure to please, in coming competitions, as the author has most certainly proven himself to be vastly capable. Great work, Chirurgeon!
