Default Larger unit sizes with smaller stack limits?

Would it be possible to make unit sizes pretty huge (600 men for the typical infantry unit) but reduce the maximum number in a stack to 8 units or so? I'm not sure how to accomplish this using PFM, so any advice and/or help would be appreciated.

I'm relatively familiar with using PFM to make fairly basic edits to the db section to make tweaks to mods I download etc but I have yet to delve into editing units themselves.

You could, although changing army sizes is startpos or save editing, not something you use PFM for.

There is a major problem with this approach though, and that is pathfinding. Oversized units (especially to the excess you are proposing) will almost certainly have some extreme issues on the battlefield, especially around buildings and other obstructions. 300-400 man units is about the limit IIRC if you want anything playable
