start_date issue

Greetings. Since I can't post long topics on this forum, for whatever reason, I keep it short. Excuse me.Problem: Want to change the start_date, since I've lost my old saves due to hard-drive issues. Wish to start in 3018 TA (MOS 1.61) - whenever I do this and want to start a new campaign, it tells me "Select a file from the List". (Yes, it works when I set everything back to standard. The changes DO affect this problem.)What I did: I changed start_date in descr_strat and the agingscript in campaign_script, following the wonderfull tutorials burried somewhere in a thread from 2010.Yes I already checke the .rmv file and did the cleanup.bat. Nothing helped. So what shall I do? Every little piece of advice is appreciated.

Make changes with Notepad++ , not with ordinary Notepad.
