I wanted to open this thread to show you some of the best maps I found on the map and to hopefully have some people here posting some aswell.


1: Malva Grassland

With the coordinates: 0,503 and 0,408 this map is located along the Thracian border with the Danube:

The map features are a steep hill going down from North to South whith some forests added also going downhill from North to South:

It is perfect for players who want to play a battle in which they attack uphill and gives the oppertunity to hide ones units all the way up to the hilltop and enemy possitions, when playing defensive at the bottom of the hill, one can chose to hide troops in the forests to later suprise the enemy:

When attacking or defending from uphill one has the same options, but with the "uphill advantage". The forest streches from North to South over the complete left side of the battle map making the forest advantage available for both sides of the battle:

2 Cyrene Desert:

With the coordinates 0,437 and 0,736 what I like most about this map is that it has no features other than being a completly flat desert landscape:







So if you want to play a battle on a map where no one has any fancy hill, river or hiding advantages or disadvantages, but a simple plain field for the troops to face each other, this is map is for you:
