Icon5 STEAM-WORKSHOP and .pack file questions

I have a few questions to well informed steam workshop users.
A: Is there another way than the Rome II launcher to upload a mod?
B: Can I only upload .pack files as a mod?
C: Can I only add files/folders into the .pack file that are/will be located/installed in the Rome II data folder?

    Thank you!

    A: No, sadly
B: Seems that way. Official Mod Manager has to recognise the file for it to be able to upload it to the workshop. If you have non-pack files that are required, it may be better to create a dummy pack on the workshop (for publicity and whatnot) and link users to somewhere where you can upload the complete mod
C: Pack files have the same rules as they've always had. If it didn't go in a pack before, it still wont now.
It’s better to excite some and offend others than be bland and acceptable to all

Thanks, I will see then to eventually advertise my mod with a placeholder .pack file.

Hi guys can anyone please tell me 1) is there a way to disable steamworkshop from erasing my script when i start game.

    2) basically how can i use my own mod skins now that this crappy workshop is overwriting things?

    Thanks

No I don't think you can disable the official ModManager.
To use your own mod, it should be as simple as putting it into a Mod pack and copying that to your data folder; this ought to let ModManager recognize and let you enable it.

    Why would you?
I seem to not fully understand your problem.
You put your mod pack in the data folder, and you can enable/disable them via MM.
And what mods are not in pack format anyway?
