I know this is a VERY minor thing and one that is made more complicated with how the files are setup with this generation of TW, text files versus access files, but it makes me wonder what is going over there in the CA offices. Are they not focused enough? Are they trying to do to much at once? Are they that unorganized/poorly coordinated?
I know most of my posts come off harsh and maybe even rude to some, for that I apologize, but I cannot stand the way this series is going and I feel I have to make my voice heard somewhere. This being the best place I have found to do so, seeing that some former members are now current employees at CA. If you have played the first shogun, medieval, or rome then you know what I am talking about, the stripping out of features and game play designed challenges is killing this game for me. Sure the graphics are getting better but they should naturally just with the evolution of technology. The things that should NOT be changing are the core game mechanics every time you make a new game in the same series line. Once you invent the wheel you don't keep reinventing the wheel, you invent stuff to attach that wheel to. I know we all want different things out of games, but removing the challenge should not be a desire for any of us. The core concept of this game and its sole design purpose is to be a Strategy game, that should normally equate to a challenging, thought provoking, and immersive game environment in which any gamer can find the challenge he or she is looking for by simply upping the difficulty level.
Rant over, on to the next one
