    Default Slight problem with install

I can play the game... and it all works, but I think my folders may be messed up, because I can't use the old launcher.

2.5 installed to the launcher of an original RS2 install. Was that correct? because now my launcher folder in the RomeTotalWarGold has its own Play_ with all the factions, data folder and exes.

Nope - sounds wrong - the folder structure should remain as tidy as it was before - I'd delete and start again to make sure. Sorry.

Do I even need a base install anymore?

Can I just install 2.5 and 2.6 and that's it?

If I remember correctly (and I'm sure the detail is in the stickies) - then, yes...

    1. Clean copy of RTW(+)
    2. RS 2.5 from Installer
    3. Overwrite with 2.6

That is, IF you downloaded the RS2.5 FULL installer. It was first released as a patch, and later a full install was made.
