Disappointing over Historical Battles

Am I honestly to believe that from a period and area so rich in Ancient times with countless glorious and fascinating battles, that the CA team were only able to put in 4, all of which can be completed within an hour with disgusting ease. All those screencaps early on of scenarios from Pharsalus, Zama etc were propaganda? I would be okay with so little if the 4 battles provided had substance, but they are so lackluster that getting through them seems merely obligatory than an experience worth having. Such a vast game and that's what we are delivered, mere scraps?

Anyone remember battle of Jaffa in MTW??? I still remember Saladin;s army appearing over that hill and thinking: "Yeap, I'm ed" I beat it in the thrid time (granted I was 13-14 I think)
