    From the video around 4:34:

As you can see he is able to rotate his units while maintaining formation without having to group and lock those units. You can see the icon of the mouse pointer changes when he does this. I can't find anything about this under controls and I've searched the forums and google and found nothing. This is different than holding Alt to rotate units or using the rotate/strafe unit bindings. He says under the comments "You have hold control" however this does not work for me. Holding control just walks my troops.

Left click and hold over a unit will bring up a compass which will strafe a formation, hold ctrl to make it do rotation

It's really touchy though. You have to try at it a couple times before what you're trying to do "latches" on.

I really feel the negative lack of the "forward" button you had in shogun 2 and previous ones. It was in the same position of other two buttons regarding rotate left/right a selected Group of units/single unit.

If you simply want all selected units to move forward, the up arrow does the trick. The longer you hold the farther they will advance.
