Gold/ Level 3 weapons and armor ???

Just curious i have lvl 3 or gold armor upgrades for my Rome campaign but i cant seem to figure out how to get gold level or lvl 3 weapons? Does anyone know how to getem? Im only at turn 40 so maybe i missed something thanks.

As Rome you need to build thew Workshop first then choose either the Shieldmaker-Armourer (for +3 shield/armour and +1 weapons), the Blacksmith-Fabrica (for +3 weapons and +1 armour) or the Field Engineer's Workshop-Siege Engineer's Worshop (for +3 siege weapons, +1 armour and +1 weapons).

If you want shield, weapons and armour at gold you need to build the Armourer for shield and armour along with the Fabrica for weapons.

yeah thats the weird thing i build both. In rome i got the armor and in cispaline gaul i got the fabrica setup. But for some reason i cant upgrade my troops to gold weapons only armor to gold. Is it recruit only for weapons lvl 3?

I am unsure of your exact position but you can only upgrade a unit if they are in the province with the building that is needed.

You will need to move an army into the Italica province to upgrade armour and shields then move said army to Cisalpine Gaul to upgrade their weapons.

yeah when i updated the troops in rome they go gold for armor/shield but when i move them to gaul instead of going to gold they update to silver instead thats the weird thing.

and each one is lvl 3 the armorer and the fabrica.

That is indeed strange, are you sure you have the Fabrica and not the Blacksmith?

just got confirmation its a bug so this thread is resolved. Thanks Pinkie for all your help but a CA tech confirmed it from my save file which he was able to send back to me corrected. Which was nice of them.

i just noticed that the fabrica is no longer on the tech tree can anyone else confirm this, just started new roman campaign and i cant level up to gold weapons only armor. WTF

the fabrica and the armorer are both gone from the tech tree?? Why cant i get lvl 3/gold weapons can anyone tell me exactly how they did it?

i dunno what else to try i started a new campaign built fabrica armorer and seige all on same province and still cant get gold/lvl 3 weapons. I also tried to put training field melee building no dice. Any help would be appreciated.
