Icon10 Stainless Steel 6.4 - MAC using Wine

I have successfully installed Stainless Steel 6.4 on my Macbook Pro. This is the result of when I launch the program:

    I am using these Winetricks:

    VCrun2008
    Direct X 9

Music and audio are perfect. When I press the escape button in the menu, I get some kind of (do you want to exit)-message, and can press the "Yes" button, even though I can't see it. There is a hidden menu somewhere, because I can click and get the audio for next menu (tried to click options, the 3rd button, if I'm not mistaken).

Anybody care to help me play this fantastic game once again? The game works, it's just a matter of tweaks I think...

Interesting, but you should really dual boot win 7 or 8.

I am having this same problem in Fedora GNU/Linux. It does it for me even in Rome Total War (the first one), so I would love to have a fix for this myself. My computer has Intel graphics and I have all the latest opensource drivers installed. Not sure what the Mac is using.

Your first and last mistake was buying a Macbook Pro...

Your best bet is to run bootcamp on the MBP (Windows 7 is best). That is all I've used the last four years, several iterations in fact, running SL, Lion, ML. Although I'm switching to a Thinkpad X220 for the time being.
Anyway, I've tried VMware Fusion and Parallels too, but Bootcamp is the most reliable means to run TW titles on OSX. Feral Interactive has also ported RTW and ETW, but that does you no good if you're trying to play SS. They also aren't compatible for MP with windows users. :-/
