Default Army names for non Roman factions?

So I was just thinking that since the Romans have the individual legion command traits, wouldn't it be cool to have army names for the other factions? RS2 is my favorite TW mod and a big reason for that is the unique legions. This can't really be replicated for the other factions, especially not barbarian factions (and the unit cap), but giving factions army names might be a way to bring that sense of individuality that the Romans have to other factions. It would essentially be like in RTW2, but instead of naming the army yourself you would choose from a set of names.

    Thoughts?

Yes it would be a nice addition but im afraid that it is currently impossible with the RTW engine

Perhaps I should clarify, the armies themselves would not have names, but that characters could have the army name as a trait, like the legion command traits. So, as a Roman character after the reforms can command a certain legion, and have the trait of command, other factions could have command traits as well. Some of these, if not most would have to be non historical, but could add to the flavor of the characters. For example an Averni Chieftain could have access to 'The Spears of Gaul' command trait, or what have you. The traits would come out of the faction's capital just like in the Roman campaign.

Other factions didn't really have names for their armies though.

Celts called theirs warbands I think :L

Though warband was also the name of 3 guys going off on a wild adventure, or 100 guys grouping together to march off with a larger force.
    I like pie.

There's no particular reason that a set of Ancilliaries similar to the 'Legion' ones couldn't be created. If they were, then it would make it relatively easy for a player to then edit the appropriate file to make them say whatever they liked.

You'll have to genuflect and sacrifice a ram, without blemish, as a burnt offering, in dvk's direction.

Actually, it wouldn't be 'all' that difficult to name armies....as my esteemed friend said, a few ancillaries could easily say whatever one liked. I know the barbarian factions already get various animal name traits, there could feasibly be an associated ancillary that said something like 'Commander of the Boar', or 'Commander of the Wolf'....or whatever. Or something better. Other cultures could use a region name...ideally, the 'imitation legion' units of the greeks could be named just as the Roman 1st Cohort is.

Still, there is no precedent for this, and to do it I think it would need to be minimal and sensible. I really wouldn't and don't like to do something just for the sake of doing it.

This does, however, go along with other things I have been thinking about for RS2, if interest remains high or 'intense', shall we say. I like the 'army tradition' feature of Rome2, and have been thinking about how this could be implemented. For one thing, it would go along with my continued effort to differentiate between Governor characters and army commanders......as well as cleaning up and 'specializing' ancillaries to make them more 'to the point' and focused on important things rather than frivolous stuff. Ancillaries could easily be used, for a specialized army commander, to give 'army traditions' to a character who commands 'the army of Athens', or the 'army of the Bear', or whatever. Granting awards or recognition of valor, victories and such. Other existing ancillaries could even be incorporated into them to enhance them.....for example, an army could get an award recognizing that they seem to 'heal themselves', and be almost invincible.....with the bonus that a 'doctor' would give, instead of actually giving the doctor.....or in the description, make the doctor part a side benefit, whereas the award is the main issue.
