    Default [Question] edit: new question post #4. Unit Garisson tables, help.

    Hi there.

    I'm in the process of making a Hellenised Odrrysian kingdom mod. However I want to change their city skin from celtic to Hellenised.

    I've successfully changed their culture, however their starting province has no buildings in it as a result, and are completely locked out (nothing can be built) except in the new building slot.

    Is there a way to avoid all that, and keep their original buildings, but change the skin on the campaign map, so i dont end up turning Pella, Athens, Rome and Alexandria into shite-holes.

    If not, how do i change the starting buildings.

    If you want to change the building a province starts with, you need to edit the startpos (Total War Rome II\data\campaigns\main_rome\startpos.esf)

    Using EditSF, open the startpos, and follow the path: Compressed_data -> Campaign_envelope -> Campaign_model -> World -> Regions_manager -> <Your Region> -> Region_slot_manager -> Region_slot_array - 0 -> Building_manager

    One of the lines will be a reference to a building, which you change to the one you wish to have (see building_levels in the db for complete list). You'll probably want something like rom_HELLENIC_city_major_1 or rom_HELLENIC_city_minor_<resource>_1 for a hellenic center

    I figured this out myself but thanks for the response. I have another query. I've successfully managed to convert the faction into a hellenic faction, however I'm having trouble with rassigning the units. I've managed to successfully allow recruitment of new units from various unit packs in the mod forum however I'm having trouble with the vanilla units. I've assigned them all hellenic buildings to be recruited from but they don't appear in the unit pool, while the new units do. Any help I would be very grateful.

    edit: solved

    Next question.

    I've assigned the units onto their new garisson successfully. However I have somehow effected every visible garisson and now all other garissons are at 0.

    The table you want to play with is armed_citizenry_units_to_unit_groups_junctions_tables(sp?).

    got it. It was causing problems until i copied over the entire table and kept it, rather than a small section.
