    Default BUG Report. (Nothing Major)

Its nothing to fancy only that when I was playing a map sieging a Wei settlement the games frame rates dropped unbearably low. So low that I was in fact not even able to take a screenshot. When I finally reached the city center the counter of 3:00 minutes took about 8-10 seconds to drop a single second of the game clock. This began only after I sped up the timer to 6x speed. The troops were small. Opposing me were just 3 units and I had only 7. Typically I have 40 units no problem with maximum graphics. I am unsure as to what to do to fix this just thought I should say something. Other than that no crashes or other bugs I can see. Except maybe the sheer amount of stacks an enemy can field but im sure that has been brough up before!

Great work everyone loving the Beta!

I have had this same issue as well, but I can't seem to find the exact causes. As you said it is during sieges, and from my observations it is when your camera is panned over the city itself. If I had to make an educated guess, I think it has to do with the heavy detail of the buildings, walls, and towers and how it "overloads" systems. Basically a large amount of high detail buildings and objects force a slow-down, just like if there were too many units in a field battle. Perhaps redoing the lods for the buildings and objects will remedy, or somewhat alleviate, the problem. But, with that said, unfortunately there isn't anything you can do on your end to correct the problem.

I also noticed it was only after I sped up the game to 6x speed. There is no way it can overload my system as I play Rome 2 on Extreme and can have 2 40 unit armies fighting eachother before I experience a slight drop in frame rate. I think it could be some sort of timing error? I could pan over the city easy before I sped up the timer perhaps something with the fast forward triggered it?

I will have a look at the settlement textures, some may need to be reduced in size. It's an old problem, stemming from the time when the game came out. I actually made a resource for the vanilla textures then: Creating a World - Reduced City Textures
For the time being you may want to try to reduce the details in the game's video option.

Okay I will. Thanks for the tip!
