    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTqsB...99EAA945918677

listened to this when i win : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksPQq...99EAA945918677

when the ai trys to beseige me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSuvm...99EAA945918677

    battle music : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o2aB...D02FoflM9heoA4
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKeAl...D02FoflM9heoA4

leaps and bounds better than the two vanilla songs. The score must have gotten a 89% on metacritic or lower.

I prefer to listen to music that doesn't sound like it was made on an Amiga Commodore.

Troy soundtrack on the other hand...

my man sharpe, that is the point. The music was made to be retro even at the time and randomly i will find myslef whistling the tunes 10 years after the last time i played it. I have already forgotten the rome 2 soundtrack. even occasionly i will find myself humming the rome 1 soundtrack da dum da dum da da da da dum da dum da da dad da

Hans Zimmer, Vangelis and Gustav Holst have some pretty good tunes that fit in the timeframe.

I am not only listening to AoE1 soundtracks, but also AoE2 soundtracks (similar and more medieval themed, but still great). Most of the time, I mute the ingame music in Rome II, it is bland and lacks all the feel possible, and instead I play the music files from old mods like EB, RTR and RS2. Along with them I also play music files from Europa Universalis - Rome, and the original RTW soundtrack. All of them were far, far, far better than the lame, bland and soulless soundtrack CA gave us currently
    सार्वभौम सम्राट चत्रवर्ती - भारतवर्ष
    स्वर्गपुत्र पीतसम्राट - चीन
    महाराजानाभ्याम महाराजा - पारसिक

That is outstanding and awe inspiring music. I wasn't aware that there was a widescreen patch for Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome http://www.voobly.com/pages/view/aoehd.

If I decide I want the ingame music off it's because I'm in Teamspeak, or I want to listen to Franz Ferdidand, The Hives, Sabaton, or The Beatles.

It's especially funny having "All you need is love" on during a battle.
