Default Civil war erupts- Game does not respond

    Title says almost everything.

I am at turn 214, Civil war erupted all of a sudden, whatever, I can deal with it, I am positioning my Armies near to Tarraco where the Blue Senate Loyalists appeared. Guess what, I am ending my turn then it gets to the senate faction and the game simply freezes, I can only close Rome from Task manager, with or without mods it doesnt make any difference.

Reinstalled game 2 times, deleted everything from Appdata as well. Nothing. Clearly this is just Shameful Dispray. My Rig is an I5 3570k, 8gb Ram, GTX 760 card...

Anyone having the same or similar issue? any solution for this?

Me! I lost my legendary Rome no autoresolve campaign, I was about half way through military victory when civil war spawn and next turn just sits there. I even let it sit for an hr or two, nothing...

Similar. 2nd turn of civil war, AI initiated attack on on city and the game froze. Had to quit from task manager. Never went back, it was the last straw.

So does re-loading to a prior save and then pressing end turn work?
I have had several freezes only on the campaign map, different factions, hav'n't got to a civil war yet, patches 3+4. Usually at end turn. Task manager, and reloading has always worked for me so far.
My PC is fairly high end, ie CPU is i5 4670 Quad, 8GB decent ram.

reloading a prior save works, a few turn passes and you got there again when the civil war erupts, at the same point at turn 214, and it freezes there again. :S

A few turns, why not the auto-save?

Well I have plenty of crashes when the CW starts but always gotten through with auto-save.

Seems like that you are lucky, the problem is that there is no guarantee that a new campaign wouldnt end up exactly like this, not to mention that I dont want to go through right now building up my armies and my empire again from scratch.

Well I did have one battle that always crashed no matter how many times I reran it and had to auto-resolve. Things to check, making sure all your mobo drivers are up to date by visiting the company site. If you have Nv card, are you playing at the recommended settings? I'm using a Core2 quad and a gt 640 all on low settings.

Make a few save files, like 'Rome' Rome2' and 'Rome3' and alternate between saving over them every turn, that way you'll always have 3 backups from up to 3 turns ago. I'd recommend saving at the START of your turn, as the autosave saves at the end of your turn.

I've had a couple of crashes, but nothing to do with the civil war. Is this a patch 4 thing?

Roman Senate Loylist Faction in Civil War is bugged.

Game freezes on battle load screen when Senate Loyalists attack Roman army in Forced-March stance which would trigger an ambush battle...
I cofirmed it three times and then put the army in question in No-stance mode and the battle loaded.
