Osprey Books
Well, with Medieval 2 on the way I'm getting more and more interested in the Medieval times but I'm not one for long detailed books.
Soooo, I just ordered 4 Osprey books and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Kscott recommended Angus McBrides works and alot of other people seem to praise him so most (might be all) of what I bought include his illustrations.
I just ordered these from Amazon:
The Mongols
Atilla and the Nomad Hordes
The Vikings
The Aztec, Mixtec & Zapotec
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone can give me some recommendations on any other really good Osprey Books in Medieval or Ancient times. I was looking at the Far East Siege Weapons series, it looked interesting but I didn't have enough money to buy 5. I'm going to ask for a couple for christmas so that's my reasoning for asking now.
One more thing, how accurate are the Osprey books? I know they aren't long and detailed but is the information reliable? Just curious so I don't run my mouth off in the future thinking I know a thing or two
Thanks.
P.S. I hope this is the right forum for this type of thing, I was thinking the Vestigia but I thought it might fit into literature. Move it as you please moderators if it is in the incorrect place.
