Default Can I ask a question?

Why do all my ****ing generals become hugely superstitious and jobsworths? No matter what I do, every general I've gotten has gotten these traits somehow since I reinstalled. I don't know if it's because I've been fiddling around in the traits file, but I've been cheating and making things less likely to start, like extravagance(it always annoyed me that the second you go over 100k every general in your empire turns wildly extravagant) It's really bugging me and I want to know how to stop it, plus, once I get those traits they never go away, it's only positive traits that you can lose apparently.

One strategy to keep bad traits out of your generals retinue is to keep THEM out of the cities and in the field, using as much of their movement points as possible each turn.

Ok, I've been having all my generals I want to keep good taking walks, but they still end up getting jobsworth and superstitious. In the file for it, when it says 1 chance 2 or something like that, how do you make it not occur as much? By raising the second number? And what's threshold do? And is a higher no going back level make it less likely to go away or lower? Thanks.
