    Default So, farewell then RTW2

You asked us, how far we would go for you,
but did not tell us how far you had come,
which turns out to be not very far at all.

Very poetic. It's a video game. If it really hurts you this much I'd recommend stepping outside and finding a hobby.

Do you write a eulogy when you buy a bad loaf of bread? Or a bad pair of shoes? This thread is a little dramatic. I get people are disappointed, but good lord...

If I buy a bad pair of shoes or bread, I take it back to the shop for a refund. In the case of bread, I can get a refund and free extras with an apology.

Show where I can get that with CA\Steam?

Do you even live in the real world or does mum\dad pay for everything?

Did you spend $60 for a game from a company that deceptively hyped, falsely advertised to its true nature. Including half finished, poorly designed and needs more patches that only God knows the number, and still the game needs more than just patches to recover.

So yes, we are disapointed in the game, but worse, we don't take it lightly, the name 'Rome 2' was used to scam us into buying.

I have more hobbies than you can shake a stick at and TW games are one of them
And yes, some us are down about the poor and dismal condition of the game. Many of us feel its likely the end of the age of TW games as we've known them.

So if the feeling of a eulogy offends you, there's many more threads to chose from.
May I suggest the TOTAL WAR official site where a cloudy day shall never be tolerated.

Yeah really. There is only a billion threads going on about the disappointment with the game. This is more about "hey people look at me" then anything really cutting edge or well thought out stance.

Mum and dad pays for everything. In fact I'm just dictating this to mum now. After this I'm going to have sausages and mushy peas and then have a lie down.

Also you can receive a refund via Steam/CA/Sega. They aren't under any obligation to give you one, but you can get one. But let's ignore that...you kinda missed the point of mine and @priam11's comment.

This entire forum has gone from legitimate discussion about game tactics, unit vs. unit etc. to just constant complaints; and they're not even good complaints. They're just threads that are "That's it, I'm done with Total War. CA have ignored the fanbase and I'll never forgive them." You're complaining to the same people over and over again. There are several threads, exactly like this one. What exactly is this trying to achieve? A bunch of guys on the internet patting eachother on the back as they say the same things over and over again...who 4 weeks ago were so sure they would be able to pursue legal action against Sega, but don't have the attention span to follow through with it.

These aren't even discussions anymore. We're all upset by the outcome of this game. By sweet jesus, does every thread have to be about how disappointed you are? You can just add a new post to one of the several already booming complaint threads.

I bought a $50 bottle of whiskey the other week. The ads promised sophistication and women. Instead I ended up past out in a strangers bathtub.

Sorry to 'disappoint' you. Have another drink and listen. TWC is where people go to talk about and complain about games without worrying about being banned from the forums, you know like the official Total War site does. Sorry it doesn't fit your criteria.

And by reading your post I can tell why you have the frame of mine you do. If mommy and daddy had pampered me like they do you, not to mention waking in strangers bathtubs after a drinking beng. I believe I wouldn't give a flying flip about much anything of any consequence.

One more thing;'whiskey'. Okay, on occasion, but vodka a man's drink. But I don't drink so much I wake up in a stranger's bathtubs or homes. You need to cut that out. Just some grown up advice.

There are six threads on the front page, which are basically complaint threads. Six. It's not that I'm opposed to complaining about this game, even complaints that amount to nothing more than whinging, but there doesn't need to be a new one everytime somebody thinks of a new joke.

I've been jumping in and out of this forum for a few years now, and it's at its best when there is some variety to the discussions. When there's legitimate discussion of tactics, ways to improve the game etc.

I get it. You're more mature than me. You're on a crusade; uniting those who have been wronged under the one banner. The corporate world trembles when they read your Amazon reviews. You can do more push ups than me. If we met on the street I would quake in fear at your stare. But that doesn't change the fact that this forum doesn't need another thread for people to repeat over and over again how they've been wronged, just because the mods here are more open to letting people voice their complaints. There are so many of these threads already, just post it in one of those.

Captain Morgan is rum, but okay let's roll with that. You bought a video game published by Sega, one of the oldest, largest and shadiest publisher in the industry. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake no matter how much Palahniuk you read. You're as much of a fool for the corporate world and marketing as I am.

What kind of lame excuse is that ?
If a game is not worth playing without mods its not worth buying it anyway...its a simle as that !
Even with all their bugs I played the crap out of Rome and Medival II while they were patched and during their expanisons before resorting to mods in order to extend the games lifetimes but still would play vanilla at times. Same with Shogun and Medival before.
I still throw Medival Gold in every once in a while whereas Iam almost already tired of Rome II cause it bores the heck out of me and we are not even 5 weeks after release.
And I bet the number of veteran TW gamers, who come all the way from Shogun, and who feel the same way as I do...

    We are Legion !

Oh shut up. I don't care how better it's gets . You shouldn't ever have to wait for patches to fix a rushed game when it could have been released bug free from day one even if it meant delaying the game.
CA can patch the living hell out of the game for all I care , but no patch will change the fact that we got a buggy , untested, unoptimized piece of garbage on release date.

I agree. I really hated what CA had produced on release and I suspect the vanilla game is still bad. However, with Radious' mods plus a lot of other retextures and tweaks and a decent pc to play on extreme, it's really not that bad. I play it enough anyway and got bored with EU4 although that is supposed to be a much better game. Seiges and a few other things need improving and a lack of family tree is very disappointing however.

Oh look another one of these threads.
Well, at least I have good ol' Rome 2 to play instead of having to live on TWC and spread the cesspool of hatred and despair that is the vocal part of this forum...
