Default Playing with Gracul A.I., but everyone is passive. O.o

So I, finding Savage A.I. to not be challenging enough, I decided to switch to Gracul. However, now I'm about 10 turns in game with Venice and literally no one is it at war with each other, and every one has at least 5 allies. Some thing is wrong right? How can I check if Gracul's A.I. has been properly turned on?

Sorry but only 10 turns arent much. Especially in the early campaign. So are u playing early or late era SS?

Early. But I have been playing Savage A.I. for a while, and people were going to war by turn 3. Gracul is supposed to be more aggressive, yet it is now turn 12 in my Venetian campaign, and people are not only remaining peaceful, they are allying, the Byzantines have 7 allies.

I would recommend you to wait some more turns. Just skip several turns I am sure a war will start. I guess in early era the Ai focusses more on rebell settlements, before going against each other or the player. I played once HRE (the first time SS) with graculs ai. After turn 14 a big hungarian fullstack army attacked vienna and I only had like 4 units in the city (poor equiped).

IIRC, the ai is scripted to prioritize rebels for the first 10ish turns (might be 15 i think). so they won't go after you/each other if theres rebels to be had. After that limit, there priorities are scripted to change to fit the more aggressive structure. It has been awhile since i've studied the ai in ss, so if someone wants to confirm/deny/tweak this statement please feel free...but im like 80% sure.

Just to mention that players of BGRV who use gracul plus no mercy ai will find that the ai is not compelled to go after rebels whilst ignoring the player.

But what losthief says is true of the standard gracul ai, though it might be 20 turns.
