this last patch made it much beter but knowing theres a patch 5 next week n who knows how much better itll be, hard to play til that comes out!

no but the game getting better and better, next week gonna be patch 5 and the week after gonna be new DLC, this is awesome hardly able to wait

Wow, glad to hear that the very basic things (A does a, B does b!) are apparently fixed. It's great to feel the birth of the game now in the forums although I've payed for it over a month ago.
Vietan797, you mean the DB values are the same but something regarding the AI is changed elsewhere? Somewhere no modder can get to or is it just that Radious Mod doesn't include it?
I'd like to know if CA is changing the AI from the core. If they are, that would spill +rep for them CA devs.
I am pretty sure about it.
I never seriously try modding Warscape engine games before but my experience with coding back in college tell me that DB editing have it's limit and some of the change in the patch are CAI change instead of DB table value change.
Still I haven't do any coding for 2 years already and most my modding is editing script or DB table(well paradox games is easy to mod and a few table edit in ETW isn't a big problem) so I may be wrong about Rome 2 DB tables(I didn't have any time to look at the table)
It is simple if you think about it, change a code that decide how many percent of AI army should be missile units is way better and easier for developer to improve and keep track of the change than do a change on DB tables which need you look though bunch of entries. And it is also quite normal that any Game Devs like to make change over hardcoding more than scripting

noticed the same thing
my Carthage campaign after patch 4 become much much harder than before, it was a easy "Legendary cake" in patch 3, now it becomes quite a challenge and I like that
in addition, pretty much every factions declaring war on you is fun
