Hey guys, I made this video yesterday on the top ten greatest warriors in Total War.
I knew some of the information but got alot of it from the web.

That's an interesting selection. I'm sure others would have their own ideas. Personally I'd put the Gurkas in there somewhere,they are in Empire TW after all.

I am absolutely a fan of Spartacus tv series. But I felt out of the games the Gladiators at least deserved to grace the list with their presence lol

I only say because I get the feeling that the Spartacus show gives the impression the Spartacus' rebellion defeated Roman legions. It did not.

They fought and defeated town militias and armies of levies, led by Praetors. The moment a proper general arrived with a proper army (Pompey and his legion of veterans) they fell apart.

So, on the field of battle they weren't all that successful against soldiers, but yes, I suppose they do deserve to be on the list due to their work in the arena.

Yea they fought armies that werent actually armies lol. Even then they still had to fight a guerrilla war basically. I mostly put them on the list because of their arena reputation

Entertaining video but there are historical inaccuracies in there. Sparta was not conquered by Phillip, Sparta took little to no part in Phillips conquest of most of Greece and Phillip nor Alexander conquered Sparta

Sorry about this you are correct, I just checked right now and neither philip or alexander ever conquered sparta. I was wrong. Thank you for pointing this out.

I looked through all the indian factions in empire trying to find someone to add. I never saw ghurkas though? Even thought of adding native of american warriors.

I haven't got Empire TW installed atm but Gurkas can be recruited in one of the small provinces at the north of India.

Anyone else notice how much worse Rome 2 looks in the video than freaking EMPIRE?

I mean, what the hell CA, 4 years later on the same engine and we get lower res textures, no AA, harsher lighting, blurry shadows, etc?

Unfortunate it became apparent to me while making this video. Especially how much glossier and pro Shogun 2 looked compared to Rome 2.
Its discouraged me from playing Rome 2.

Napoleon apparently looked far better than Rome II. And did anyone notice, Napoleon's guard mode button actually WORKED!
