A lonely character knocks the door of Aerys. Middle sized, and thin, waves of silver fall upon his shoulders. His gaze, concealed by a hood.
Aerys lets the person inside, guessing it's someone he's familiar with.
"Uncle"
Matarys looks his uncle with his deep, large and purple eyes, then, he hugs him:
"May I come in?"
"Of course, Mat. What is it?" He puts a caring arm over the boy's shoulder, leading him to a large armchair.
"My father surely hates me, anyway he hasn't been a lovely father to me, never, he always prefered the strong Valarr, who resembled him in many ways. I've always been more symilar to grandfather Daeron, or you..."
"He doesn't hate you Matarys... He just wants what is best for the realm. And in his mind, he believes that Aegon is the best option." He looks at the boy. "Do you agree with him? Or do you think you'd do a better job than your half-brother?"
"I know what do all my forefathers did, when they failed, when they succeed, and why. I'm proficient in History, not only Westerosi, but Essosi, I know how Valyria, Volantis or Bravos are ruled, with their faults and strong points. I'm fluent with many languages, and also I have a good eye for administration, numbers and such... Yes I would do it far better; I may not be the greatest sword in the Realm, I'm not even good at it, but the King's main weapon it's not a longsword, but his mind, which is sharpened by books. I know how to rule, and to rule wisely"
Aerys smiled. "I already know this. I'm the one who taught you these things, so you do not need to convince me. You need to convince the realm. I'm sure the Arryns, Starks and Tullys would love to have you crowned... But who is it that stands in your way?"
This is treason. "A strong opposition. Who does a father love more, his wife or his son?" Aerys was starting to think that he didn't have a choice soon. Baelor was clouded by the Lioness. Infected with her beauty. Baelor might just need a little push to become free.
"Father loves more than his own life the young Aegon, he would do whatever is needed to protect him, I can see it in his eyes, how he looks him, tenderly, as he looked to Valarr. But if forced to, he would have to let his wife be dethroned, for he will try to hold the Crown for his toddler"
"Hmm. I'll see what I can do Matarys. Know that I love you dearly, and my greatest wish is to see you on the throne one day."

A spy roll has been requested for the meeting between Prince Aerys and Prince Matarys.
After all modifiers, a 16 was rolled.
Resulting Effect: 16-19 The spy happens upon a large amount of information, revealing an in depth plan.
Raymar lazily knocks on the chamber door of Prince Aerys. By now it was morning, Raymar having decided to let the King calm down a bit before bringing Aerys before him.
"Prince Aerys," said Raymar emotionlessly, "The King summons you."
A raven arrives from the North:
OOC: Scouts were captured, but Tully ones. However, Manderly wishes to create dissent between the King and the Queen, since he does not fear the Tullys for he has their lord as hostage.Prince Aerys,
This is grave news indeed. I shall send scouts at once to Nodreki to investigate this affair and devise a strategy. We are the King's Men and we will stand by you and yours, Lord Artos' gift shall not be stolen from you. Tell His Grace that we cannot march south at this time, for there is dissent growing in the North, and the peasants are now rebelling in your lands. However, we remain loyal servants to the Crown.
However, it does bother me that my brother Ser Robar caught two Lannister scouts in his domains at Moat Cailin. We are worried at this move. Could it be that they plan to turn their cloaks and attack the North unprovoked, breaking the King's peace?
Signed,
Lord Helman Manderly, Lord of White Harbour and Warden of the North
