    Default Acropolis gone?

Hello everyone. Still beta testing this game (sorry for being sarcastic), and post patch I have besieged Athens twice, as Rome and as Sparta. Both those times (unlike pre patch), the Acropolis hill with the Parthenon is gone, there is a larger hill with a capture point. In other words, the Athens battlemap has changed. Anyone else experiencing this? Have the revised the map post patch? The can't have removed the unique settlements entirely because I also besieged Carthage and it is OK. Any thoughts?

It depends on the buildings within the city. Try a fresh patch 3 and patch 4 campaign and try to take it with sparta on turn 1.

Depends on province capital upgrade level?

I don't think these explain it. In my first campaign right after release it was there and I besieged several turns after the first. And why would developing the settlement remove the Acropolis?

I besieged it as Macedon 2 weeks ago (patch 3 beta?) and yes, there was the large hill opposite (can't even think what hill that is mean to represent) but no Acropolis. There was a big temple where the acropolis should have been, but it clearly wasn't the parthenon. Some settlements should start the game with these massive buildings already there. E.g. Roma should start with the circus maximus and/or large temple of jupiter (and nothing else, let's say), and Athens should surely have a large temple to Athena on the already-present Acropolis. Carthage should start with a military port.

Sounds like a good idea. I shouldn't have to build something when it should have already existed.

Of course Roma starting with the Circus Maximus and Colosseum doesn't actually happen, although both buildings are present in Roma for some reason from the get-go... it would be pretty unbalancing to give every faction their "Wonder" off the bat.

Though limiting the to only show up when actually built, would mean you'd probably never see them either.
