Ok I saw this movie like a year and a half ago and decided to buy it jsut last week and now I have it. It is increadible - at least for Indie flicks and people care about the Civil War. Just check out the Trailer: http://www.wickedspringmovie.com/wsframeset.html
The reason why I like this so much is its gritty and real representation of Civil War Combat in the later part of the war. I mean so many people think that the Civil War was one line shoots at the other and thats it but this movie brings so much more depth to it. You see Sergeants and Corporals directing fire, you see bullets flying around and people getting shot (Yes thats right in this Civil War movie the reenactors are actualy shot!) and artillery exploding, trees falling down and people running in panick, and a first in Civil War flicks they actualy take cover!
There are parts in this movie that remind me of Saving Private Ryan.
The acting is great and the story is pretty good if not completely believable - but again even if you don't like those parts this movie is worth its money just for the Battle scenes alone.
