History of Highgarden

Highgarden was founded by the Gardener dynasty many years ago and was tended by the stewards of house Tyrell. King Gardener would foolishly resist Aegon and his sisters at the Field of Fire, which led to the fiery and bloody end of his house. House Tyrell bowed to the dragons from the east and were generously rewarded with the lordship of Highgarden and all the power that comes with it.

Born in 175 A.L
Oldest son of Raymond Tyrell
Victor is the older twin of Rickard Tyrell. Victor is a cripple, missing a pair of legs. Victor doesn't let this bring him down. The Tyrell maester constructed special seat for Victor, which he rides from daily, shooting arrows and doing other manly stuff. He has fathered a daughter and a son with lady Lileth Tyrell.

Rickard was born with a different disfigurement. The one known as ugliness. Conclusively, he wears armor all the time. He also boasts being the most furious of all Tyrells.

A long procession is sighted close to Highgarden. The colours of Yronwood are resplendent as the banners dance in the wind. As they approach the gate you can see that their are 4 men who act like nobles in the procession. But no women.
As they approach the gate a herald speaks up.

The Lord of Yronwood approaches, open the gates!

The men on the walls looked sour to see Dornishmen approach but still lifted the portcullis and granted the visitors access. Victor met them in the courtyard with a serene smile and friendly look. "Welcome to Highgarden, Bloodroyal."

Greetings, My Lord. And thank you for inviting us. May I show you my son and heir Ser Anders? He points to a man in his early 20s who bows to Victor.
And my sons, Ormond, who is 10, and Cletus, who has just turned 16.

Lord Ormond turns to point at Cletus and sees him running across the walls with reckless abandon. He shakes his head but looks amused.

It is a great honor that you have invited us to your beautiful lands. The Reach has always attracted me with it's lush meadows and endless forests.
Ormond waits for Victor to continue on.

"It is very beautiful, indeed."He started to feel the tension from his surrounding guards, they were staring at Ormond, with a dangerous look of illwill. "Let's continue this inside, would you like some wine?"

I would love to. Ormond follows his host inside while looking friendly at the guards with a very large ironic grin plastered on his face.

He follows his host inside to the main hall.

"So, lord Yronwood." Tyrell said when he had rolled his wheelchair to the edge of the table. "I believe it is in our mutual interest and in the interest of the realm that we become... Friends."

Ormond glances between his sons as they sit attentive listening to the conversation.

Victor guessed what Ormond was thinking. "I have unwed sisters, lord Yronwood." He nodded to himself. "They could be married to one of your sons." Compared to the Martells, the Stone Dornish were not as foreign. He hoped it would be a first step to amend the relations between the Sun and Rose.

Hmmm, well my heir Anders is 22 and unwed. And my son Cletus is newly turned 16. How old are your sisters?

"Kyra. She becomes twenty this year." Said Victor with certainty. She had been betrothed to Galladon Baratheon, but the war got in the way.

Anders shifts uncomfortably in his chair but manages a curt nod.

"I will bring her to Yronwood Castle for the wedding then. Would two months be enough time for you to prepare?" He asked.

"Oh yes, you should expect to host at least above a hundred guests." Victor raised his hand and gestured that the meet was over and the Yronwoods were free to travel back home to the Boneway.
