Lingering Smoke

I checked the box in the installer for the persistent smoke effect but nothing seems to have changed. Is there something I can edit in the game files or settings to actvate it?

go into the napoleonic folder in the main rtw directory and go into the extras folder, then go to smoke then take the descr_effects_firemarms.txt and put it in the napoleonic dtat folder, remember to back up the old one if the smoke causes lag... also only rifles have the lingering smoke
