Default Total War Rome 2 Graphics Optimization

So, I got most of the textures/details/buildings/unit size all on extreme and smaa, sweetfx all that stuff. Maxed out the sky quality too and the textures on the ground. Everything runs smoothly and a very decent 30 fps, and anymore seems greedy to me. However, I have the grass settings on high at the moment, but I noticed it appears horrifically ugly and textured on high but I heard upgrading it furtherly to very high, ultra or extreme may take a blow at my fps. Is this true?

So far on high with grass settings it hasn't taken any noticable impact on my computer. Shed some insight anybody?

Well, is the benchmark implemented into the game all that accurate? Not all of the game is presented as a dynamic movie as the benchmark tries to perfectly capture.

you dont need the benchie for that, a simple custom battle solves that issue

If it looks ugly it probably means you are having problems with the auto down grade. Try the lowest shader model and the contrasts should improve.
Proculus: Divine Caesar, PLEASE! What have I done? Why am I here?
    Caligula: Treason!
Proculus: Treason? I have always been loyal to you!
Caligula: [laughs insanely] That IS your treason! You're an honest man, Proculus, which means a bad Roman! Therefore, you are a traitor! Logical, hmm? Ha, ha, ha!
