Default old TW style unit cards

i was today messing around with photoshop and......... why not making unit cards, really showing how the units are in battle? not vague style like rome 2 does, not artisticaly inspired (reallistic but is not how it looks in battle) , why not take snapshot from the unit in battle and turn into unit card!? like old days

this is a rough example (just to make the point)

tell me your opinions, would you prefer this style for all units ingame?

This is a no brainer IMO but not sure how it fits with the rest of the all-new-all-ultra-minimalistic-hyper-modern-not-so-ancient UI

on the note of the unit cards, I love the idea, it would make the UI far easier to understand at a glance

thats the idea, like previous games the unit cards very much was exactly like units were in battle. by looking at unit cards you know exactly how the unit looks like!

It would just take a lot of time.
he is doing a great job and very talented. but on this matter is a matter os taste, i view those as artistic representation by wich is very cool. but they only offer an idea of what the unit is about my idea is taking from old style and capture the unit in battle (screenshot) and put into unit card so the unit card matches 100% the look of the unit ingame. both types mine and his are valid and all goes down to preference

one step at time if we can revamp the atrocious unit cards, sure we can re-skin the UI (or at least make it more "old style"). but we've to start somewhere and i've hard time to know what am i exactly recruiting...... hmmm its a dude, have black skin, one spear and generic shield....... hmmmm *loading time* OOOOOOOOH THAT GUY, I DIDNT WANTED HIM xD

so this old style you know before hand what unit you're getting, easy and simple the crappy-minimalistic-hyper--ancient wannabe UI may be my target after units ^___^ now units, then UI, then........ perhaps make units(models) and re-skin

Im just going to say that that breast plate looks like a breast protector.

I dont have much gripe with the unit cards, but yes I like it, if you do overhaul the UI Im here to say good luck and keep the good work

Rome II's UI tries to be too many things at once. Stylistic, minimalistic, informative, out of the way, and in your face at all times.

That's why the UI fails. The unit cards are fine, but I definitely support more mods, so good luck
