Problems with compatibility
Hello all, I'm using a preset of mods that I uploaded on my teamspeak and gave to my friend...we try to play together but everytime we try we cannot play because of different game versions, even though I gave him the exact same files....what can I do to solve this problem?
Is there a way to find out which file is different?

Re: Problems with compatibility
That's the difficulty with mods. I'll sum up a quick step to step:
Both delete all their mods in the data folder, both delete their startpos file from the main_campaign folder too. Make sure to delete all remains of the mod manager. Then both delete their scripts folder from appdata/roaming/thecreative assembly/Rome2/scripts. Then both verify integrity of game cache.
Then put your mods back in, use mov or movie files. Avoid the mod manager if you want to play MP, because a simple change in the order of mods loaded can screw it up.
The less mods you use, the better. If you decide to use the MM, better compare you scripts in the previously mentioned folder too.
If that all does not work, remove the entire appdata/roaming/thecreative assembly/Rome2 folder, verify game cache, then start up the game and redo your settings.
Good luck and have fun
