It`s the criticisms and whines that`s keeping CA on their toes. They do hear, but most of all they will keep patching if they believe they will suffer in the future with loss of DLC monetary profits... You`re still a potential cash income. Let`s use that. Ignore others who would put you down or harass you and don`t be tricked into responding in a way that may get you banned. Those of you who speak up to make ROME 2 better are precious to the cause.

I may not be there with you, but you`ll get the Rome 2 you wanted as long as you keep up the pressure.

Get Rome 2 to what it should be.

Indeed, we don't want CA to leave the game's state like Empire TW which imo still require quite a few patches regarding balance, features, bugs, and optimization.

So to be honest I'm fine with excessive whining as so far I don't see CA viewing those constructive threads. I'm betting they just skim through many thread's titles so on release with many of those angry threads CA knows at that time they screwed up in terms of polish; due to the excessive numbers of threads on those issues and the amount of whining.

    Cheers.

True enough I fear, but the gamers still have a weapon, their wallet. Problem is, peoples short memories and are quick to fall for all the goodies offered in preorders. But I do believe CA will regret this scam for quick cash, sooner or later.

Tell that to Humble Warrior. He's the one claiming that they do listen.

The game development business is one of bottomless greed, pitiless cruelty, venal treachery, rampant competition, low politics and boundless personal ambition. New game series are rising, and others are starting their long slide into obscurity and defeat.

Well, I know software developers in three different companies, and they all say that the complaining in forums amounts to absolutely nothing. They know what needs to be fixed, and they know the financial and time constraints. All three were told to ignore forums, which were used simply to get bug lists and that is all. They tend to even put a lot of constant complainers on ignore lists, as they just keep saying the same thing over and over with no new info. It's a myth that the forum complaints get anything fixed. They fix what they will fix regardless, and the tiny percentage of users talking on forums amounts to nothing. Sad, but true.

That is quite true. If the product gets released as the full product (Even if it's bugged to oblivion along with stripped down features, etc) that is to them complete. Then comes patches and such after GA date.

If the devs bother to read then they might find some useful info other than bug notes; If they actually bother to take some time reading some stuff i.e threads which have good ideas with features suggestions who knows what TW can be like.

Yes. And they will incorporate those cool ideas into the next game. See you again in 2 years, brother.

Edit: I hope I'm wrong! CA just don't deserve a lot of optimism or faith right now.

I might be a little late to this fiasco of rome 2, But...

I bought it yesterday patched it up to the most recent version (So I am not biased at all against the original release), Played it for half an hour, Am in complete disbelief at how it can run so bad on lowest settings on my PC! THAT is my biggest problem among the many other I encountered in half an hour, layout, family tree,...ect ladi ladi doo.

I am now officially joining the angry mob even though I have only played the recent patch...there is way more patching to be done before I will ever think about another CA / TW release again.
And I own every release except shogun 1

Sort this out CA I am not impressed....

Not in this case... spreading the word about what a poor game this is, even fraudulent release, will have an effect. Just like those amazon and user ratings on metacritic. It's true they put users on ignore in official forums but they cannot do that here.

The "whining" is not helpful, I can't believe people are actually saying otherwise.

Constructive criticisms, bug reporting, not asking the heads of Ai programmers, are ones of the many that can help CA listens.

NOT, I repeat, NOT, the whining, making poorly arguments (OMG THIS SUCKS 0/10), threatening CA, making extremely bias or outright fabricated claims, and etc, will be not beneficial to CA nor to us....

Agreed. Of course keep it constructive and try not to get personal. I know people are upset, but when words like 'lazy' or 'idiots' get used your argument falls to pieces and you just sound like an angry youtube commentator.

To the people saying not to whine but to add constructive criticism, GET REAL! We are not on the CA payroll. We are not here to test the game and report bugs! We are here to play a complete finished game. You wonder why corporations do whatever the hell they want.

...people who "whine" are just annoying though. It's not about CA. It diminishes the enjoyment I get from the forum, if I wanted to listen to whining I'd turn on voice-chat in CoD.

I get that, maybe TWC should open a new complaint section specifically for R2. It seems its gotten that bad here. We have to be able to voice our opinions though, its hard to play nice when people have been openly lied to. Folks took time off from work, spent money on upgrades all from loyalty to this franchise. Its a shame.
