Training Field - possible to change?

The "training field" building line currently only upgrades NEW troops with their bonuses (+5% melee attack, +5% charge bonus, etc.) Unlike the blacksmith and armourers which allow you to upgrade your units as long as they are in the province after it is built. Would it be possible to make the training field building line to function like the blacksmith and armourer so we can upgrade troops that have already been recruited with the training field's buffs?

Anyone have any idea if this kind of thing would be possible to change?

I thought that was the purpose of the retraining button?
In any case, yes it should be possible, because there are in-game effects that do apply globally. I believe it's a case of changing the effects around for the appropriate buildings?
