Retail copy question.....

After having not played M2TW for several years I am interested in getting a retail version of gold. Steam really isn't a option and I would be looking at amazon or ebay. Should I look for a new copy with unused serial keys? Or can I go ahead and purchase a used copy and still be able to use those serial keys?

Don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use the serial keys you are paying for, and I wonder how many "new" copies there could be out there. Better off with a well treated used copy anyway (unless you're collecting the box et al)

Hi Achillies, from memory I'm sure I've registered my Rome CD key under different names. The on-line element for pre-steamworks TW games was always a little loose.

I'm reasonably sure you'll be able to register the keys you get from a second hand game for online play. Are you looking to play online? If it's offline only, the keys are irrelevant.
