Icon4 Again, Anythnig Good In Rome 2, + Rome RSvsR2

I've spent alot of time over in the Rome 2 forums from day one, yea maybe too much time, and have come to a conclusion about the game.Though I'm a veteran TW gamer, I',m a nub to linking posts, so I have to take the long way around, so to speak, to list where you can read my conclusion I posted in.

I could just copy paste it to this site, but there's a lot of contention in Rome 2's forum and though, we here members stay very cordial overall to one another, that doesn't mean we all agree on the mess that is Rome 2, and I say some things that many may take issue with in a passionate way and I do not wish to infect our site with the contentious behavior from that forum to here.

Therefore, if you do read it and wish to take issue with it, lets do it there. To be fair I also include a post of a fellow who disagrees with me.

I don't understand why you keep posting in the Roma Surrectum Forum which has little to do with Rome 2.

    Good question.

Maybe I over presume that there may be many in RS2's forum who are curious about the state Rome 2 is in and if it may someday be worthy of RS2 attempting to outdo their present masterpiece with Rome 2. And I did include a thread that compares RS2's merits vs Rome 2.

However, if the mod or RS team members feel this thread should be removed, I shall not complain. Nor resent it.

I don't mind. I'm intrigued by the discussion, and rarely have a lot of time to go hunting. I would however, avoid advising people not to buy things. Let the information speak for itself.

I going to assume you mean my (Now a community service announcement) where I ask people to not buy preorders. You didn't say I shouldn't place them here, but as a ranking member of this forum if you feel it's not a good idea, Its gone, edited out. I think it was the only one in this forum but I'll check my other posts.

In terms of the title of this thread, assuming that the good in either game can be applied to either, I feel that I have learned a few things from Rome2 just in terms of what people like about it, or don't. It has encouraged me to go on with this mod to improve it even more, make some changes here and there, and to investigate ideas just to see what can be done with them.

The main problem that I have with the TW R2 forum and the CA R2 forum is simply that there are far too many posts to keep up with! I'm sure that trying to would be a full time job!

Is there anything good in R2 - in short - yes, there is. Being an RSII fan and Roman Military History buff - are there things I would change - damn tootin' there are!
