I've been a fan of EB for many years now and have frequented this forum for just as long. Usually just to see any news concerning EBII but the fan comments are sometimes interesting - especially the "why not you make Ethiopia Faction" thread that was clearly started by a troll but turned into a lively discussion of the different cultures in the game and how they could possibly be better represented. Before this i've never felt compelled to post anything, or even register to the site, but all i read about on this thread are whiners so i post now to say one thing. So it was obviously a mistake to release this announcement, getting the community's hopes up, only to dash them with further delay. Right? I've heard that from many people on this thread - and it's a valid point, believe me. From what you folks can see, NOTHING good came from this announcement. Except......the team didn't just announce it to you. They also notified all the old team members, many of whom hadn't contributed in years. And quite a few of us were intrigued that at long last the mod was "close". So we came back. And some of us stuck around and dug in and helped solve problems that had bedeviled the mod for years. BECAUSE of that announcement, the mod gained critical new-old team members whose arrival helped reinvigorate the rest of the team. Together we've been working miracles behind the scenes, and as a result, the mod today is light years better than it was 6 months ago. LIGHT. YEARS.
So it really has been worth it, all of it. The announcement, the delay, even the disappointment. You will see.
ALL HAIL THE KULL!! (and any other new-old, old-new, new-new and old-old team members).
Thanks for all the hard work. I can wait.
