Default problems during the macedonian campaign

hi guys, i got some problems during the macedonian campaign in rtw2.

at the beginning i got some goals: conquer two provinces, subjugate epirus, build 5 ships and declare war to pergamum. so i began with epirus. i conquered larisa and subjugated appolonia. the problem is, that athens as my vassal declared war to epirus before i began to conquer them. so actually i m having two vassal states, epirus and athens, having war with each other.

    1. is there any possiblity to end this war diplomatically? i didnt find any button to stop war at the diplomatic window. i want epirus to shield my left wing fighting rome(they already conquered brundisium in magna graecia) and athens for trade.
    2. i never got money for fullfill the semigoals subjugate epirus, build 5 ships and declare war to pergamum. normally i think i should some. is this a bug?

thanks for help, if anyone can.

    greets,
    totalbeginner

    hi there

As to #1: no, there seems to be no way for your to end this war diplomatically. One way to address this is let one vassal take the other one out. Then, cancel the client state, and, after a few turns, take the vassal territories for yourself. I recommend this since Pella is your capital and it is preferable that you control the whole province by yourself. Otherwise, who cares if one vassal takes the other one out: you still control the territory through the client state agreement and the regions count towards your win conditions. In Macedonia though, both Larissa and Apollonia have trade goods.

Related: it is possible to take Larissa on turn 2 before Athens go to war with Epirus. Hire a general on turn 1, move him to the border with Epirus (Larissa region), queue up troops. Move the starting gen from Pella close and give troops to the general closer to Larissa. On turn 2, Pyrrhus tends to arrive near Larissa with his elephants in forced mach stance. Ambush him (hire some mercs to strengthen your army). Javelins should make a short work of elephants in the ambush. Once Pyrrhus is defeated, send your spy to try to poison either the garrison or the army in Larissa (every little bit helps). Attack Larissa, make sure your general from Pella is reinforcing. Voila: Larissa is yours on turn 2. Now, need to march to Apollonia asap (recruiting in the process) to beat Sparta, Athens and Romans grabbing that province. Disband your mercs on the very turn you take Larissa: their upkeep is killing.

As to #2: I do get money for building the ships. There is no message for full-filling the mission, but I do get the cash. I never tried the other 2 goals.
