    Default Civil War Upon Campaign Start

    Has anyone ever experienced a civil war occurring just as you start a new campaign? I recently upgraded to Patchbeta4 and deleted all my mods beforehand, now this is happening every time I start a new campaign. I have to admit, it's relatively amusing, but I'm sure it'll get quite infuriating quite soon. It's weird too as I never had any mods that changed the armies limit or anything like that ever installed, but the amount of doom stacks dropped has been over the limit, especially with Carthage (except for Athens which only dropped a single army stack...) The game also says my Imperium is at "Supreme" even though the bar is completely empty.Here are the pics:

    Im sorry but there is something really wrong with your game, I suspect radious mod is still installed and no I havent saw any civil war at the start of the campaign.

    the reason for the radious mod is simple, the AI in civil war has a limited set of number of armies and that varies according to the stage of imperium that you have.

    @Karamazovmm

    That's the thing though, I didn't have Radious mod installed. Merely the very very early battle one (think day 3, haven't updated because he put in balance-breaking fantasy units), the graphics one, which I also haven't update because it did precisely what I wanted to, which was to remove the clouds and forced march swirls, and the economy and research mod.

    I deleted the battle and economy mods prior to upgrading and prior to this happening, so I'm going to delete the graphics mod and scour my data to see if there's something left over that is maxing out my imperium bar.

    It must be something to do with the latest Radious mod then. I have the latest beta and Radios all in one installed and Carthage gets about 15 full stack civil war armies surrounding the city on turn one 272BCE. I'll report it over there later if not mentioned already.

    not only its maxing out your imperium bar, but its also screwing up the army proportions, the biggest civil war without the mods that I faced was one that the 4th imperium lvl and had 12 stacks and some navies, I think 6. thats way below what you showed there.

    best thing is to remove everything that is modded and verify the cache several times after opting out and and in of the beta

    if the problem persists, go and post this on the official forums

    It works ok for the factions opened by the All Factions playable mod so I'll start a new campaign with something other than Carthage. I already verified game cache with the new beta and replaced my mods . It'll all get fixed sometime no doubt.

    Reinstall on a clean folder also would probably help!

    p.s I know reinstall is a pain if you don't have the discs

    Yes I could try that tomorrow. I spend more time mucking about with this and Railworks than actually playing the games

    I know it's horrible, but you gotta admit it's a bit funny.

    It worked fine for me, I would delete all your packs and scripts then try again.

    I found it due to using an out-of-date modded campaign_variables file
