For screenshots I sent agents in different directions. It's seems 23-27 turn of the game.
In your opinion, how balanced AI army?

Well the armies shown here are far more balanced than the ones I've been coming up against anyways. Seems every fight I'm is is around 50-75% enemy slingers.
Remember, it's just a game.
imo, the issue is that early in the game, factions only have slingers and some light infantry available so they recruit what they can to get the most bang for their buck; and thats slingers
That's why I like factions that get early cavalry options. Makes field battles MUCH easier.
It seems that AI builds decent armies now. Is it your mod or vanilla ?
Early IA stacks are to unbalanced to be a challenge, even at a 3 to 1 ratio in hard difficulty. I'm tired of chasing slingers and basic javelinmen.
I'm trying city recruitment mod at the moment. But that's an issue CA should adress quickly.
" Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room! "
Ai armies seem to be nicely balanced in those screens, certainly more balanced than what I encounter usually at that stage.
It seems a lot more balanced than Vanilla game armies since the AI is not spamming with range units.

god damn it Luntik stop teasing me and link us your mod.
for those that do not know who Luntik is, he is a man of talent.
Instead of 50% generic terrible spearmen 50% slingers it's now 75% generic terrible spearmen 25% slingers.
Not much of an improvement but I suppose it can't be helped since the rosters in this game are incredibly shallow.
Heinz Guderian,
I think patch 4 solve the problem of AI army compositions & unit quality![]()
Somebody to share experiences of vanilla + patch4beta and AI army compositions & unit quality and some sort of a screenshot for an example? It would be interesting![]()
Also yeah, it seems to be gunning for around 75% melee troops now. Although it still doesn't take many slingers to snipe your general when you aren't looking.
I started a new campaign as Rome and found myself pretty surprised. By the time i moved up north the Celts had filled their armies with tier 2 units at least and were very quickly outclassing my hastati force.
Heinz Guderian, restart with Pontus, it's great.
Screenshot of army neighbors, 15 - 20 turn after start. You will meet the army of Hellenic, Celtogermanics and Pontic style.
I expect that with the Hellenic everything will be ok, but Celtogermanics and Pontic will be interesting to see.
rrgg, many slingers has been in the Celt army?
