ok guys here it comes!
I spent most of my weekend (a nerdish point of view on one's spare time) watching IGN preview movies made by CA (chapters 1 2 3) OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
and this is wat I discovered:

1080 year = 0 turn
1286 year = 104 turn
1530 year = 225 turn

difference between 1080 and 1286 is 206 years
difference between 0 turn and 104 is 104 turns lol
thus 206years=104turns THUS roughly 1turn= 2years
but there was an arguement that first turns would be like that, so lets look into late era

differens between 1286year and 1530 year is 244 turn
difference between 104 turn and 225 is 121 turn
THUS 244 years=121 turn THUS roughly 1 turn= 2years!!!
and so theorema is proved
1 turn = 2 years

Nop. Ca said this a long time ago, that 1 turn = 2 years, and that the campaign lasts for 225 turns.

But I also hope it to be 2 turns/year, partly because you must move more than one province in a year (like the "Slovak" said), partly because it there were too many turns, the game would last forever (half a Millennia, remember? :wink: )

Well they said they would, so i've known about this for sometime.

It's one of the things still being balanced actually; since the timeframe is set, the only way to change the length of the game is to alter the number of turns. So it might change a bit (also perhaps with seasons). That's what I was told at the preview event.

so for example: 1200 Summer - END TURN - 1202 Winter - END TURN - 1204 Summer... My only hope now is that sieges last less than RTW, because 7 turn of siege means 14 years! in medieval times 14 years means circa 1/3 of you life!!!

lolololol.... this is something CA will never do... so.... i say 1turn will remain 2 years!! ... believe me... they wont fix something if it is not broken (they wont change it - no matter what they say)

thats just plain stupid of CA.

I see absolutely no reason why they are making 1 turn equal to 2 years.

1. its gonna take 8 years to walk from scotland to london
2. generals are somehow either going to be around for a very short time or they are breaking the laws of physics and living twice as long as every other human.
3. also means that half the time you fight in the north of the campaign map you will be fighting in snow.... im sorry but last i checked i live in scotland and it snows here like.... less than 2 weeks a year. (i realy wish they would just get rid of the snow all together rather than they way it is now.

I agree totally, even in RTW this was a bad choice, it will be good if the snow appear random in winter (like 25% of probability)

jisus! And this is something you havent found out before now??? You found it out on the most complicated way to... Why dont just take. 1530-1080=450, and CA said, loooooooooooong time agoo, that it should be 225 turns, and what is 450 years divided on 225 turns? Yes 2 years each turn!
And this have been known for a half year of more...

Well, seeing as that it only counts turns not years and there really really are no years in the game, this dosen't matter at all.
