Default Microsoft's new Zune MP3 Player.

Wow, it looks like microsoft is trying to penetrate every market they can get their hands on.

Personally, it looks quite ugly and cheap, the plastic looks terrible. The only upside is the big 3 inch screen, but I doubt if thats going to do that much good, since its probably going to be a serious battery drainer.

A day when I can order Microsoft pizzas with my brand new Zune I call it game over for me.

It doesn't look too bad, but the iPod design is still far, far better.

The Zune came about when Comrade Bill told Microsoft employees to buy iPods and then report on how they should make them better, or what they want in an mp3 player. That was a long time ago though.

Yep, the iPod still leads the market in that it is the most easy to use. The new iPod's are batter drainers though, and no wonder with a 2,5" screen like that! So MS, if you wanna be better, get a much better battery, especially since you've got a 3" screen  The iPod's are also the fastest transferring MP3-players, I can get big 4GB files in just minutes!

    Other improvements MS should make:

    • Include good headphones and a battery recharger in the package, not so we users can be able yo buy it!
    • Develop the new technology that enables .mp3-music to move to the next track without a pause! This would impress the experts too

Can't think of any other right now... Oh, of course, skip paying for the brand, like Apple does, 300 for that iPod is just overpriced! (I bought mine (30GB, white) for 400€!) But of course, this is MS, so why would they publish affordable products?

The new iPod second generation that just came out does just that. Gapless play back, twice the battery life, non-scratch surface, search feature, and much much cheaper price.

Wow, now that I just thought of that, I think the new Zune is screwed. There is no way its going to compete with the iPod.

Ironic...Now people will complain about Apple having a monopoly and MS being the underdog.

Unless the MSFT goes in for some serious price cuts.
