Professor 420's Video Tutorials Finished

Professor420 has finally finished parts Six and Seven of his video tutorial series, covering Rigging/Exporting and Level of Detail models, respectively. He has commemorated the release by re-packaging his old tutorials with his scene files, and uploading an 'Extras' package containing some things useful to the aspiring artist.

You can get all seven tutorials (and the bonus material) at the General's Collective.

Note: Quicktime6 is needed to view the videos, and winRAR is required to exact them. The scene files are made in 3dsmax 8, and the Photoshop docment made in Photoshop CS2.

This is very, very good news to all in the community (including myself) who wish to augment their modeling skills or learn new things in 3dsmax for the first time. A big thanks to not only Professor420 for producing these, but also to General_Sun for hosting. Off to download . . .

excellent i already have his first 5 videos... very excellent. i just watched them but didnt try it while watching so in a couple of days ill train myself to model with these excellent video tutorials, thanks general_Sun for hosting these (like publius said) and Prof for making these videos, thanks again guys!!

I just want to cross-post what I said in the Mod Workshop thread:

Out just in time for M2TW, practice so you can move beyond the obsolete technical specifications in RTW and immediately start producing higher-quality M2TW graphics.

Late, but you're welcome. Go through all the tutorials to get yourself ready for my academy class once things get running!

And btw, Tutorials 1-5 are the same, no need to re-download (except for the scene files), but they aren't important if you are happy with the result of the lessons.

well todays greatest news

everything was extremely in detail even shortcuts at the begnnig and all that
only one thing which i think was wrapped up in little hurry ie the skinning part
i guess someone willl make a video tutorial for only skinnig in detail :tooth:
thnaks again for excellent series to Professor420. it will definitely provide a strong base for modding m2tw

Wow, I never thought that to happen. A ray of light on a dark day! The first five are excellent, but without the sixth, one of the most important aspects (getting the units into the game) was missing. That has been fixed, and I can´t express how thankful I am for that.
