Thread: EditSF 1.1 - Added Array Editing

Default Re: EditSF 1.1 - Added Array Editing

Hmmm, did I ever upload 1.1.2?
It says 1.1.2 in my signature, but there is none in the sourceforge folder. It's also not been tagged in SVN, and no branch either. And all the issues against it are closed.
It's been a long while since I've worked on this...

None of the closed issues sound like they would make an edit crash the game though, so there shouldn't be a reason to not work with 1.1.1.

Here's from the beginning of a Shimazu campaign, no mods.

There are two saves, one with no changes and one where one of the starting Bow Ashigaru is removed, so that there are 159 men now. The second save crashes.

    Yes it does crash.
But I think I found the error:
if you look in 'Shimazu Spring 1545 (changed).save'
    ...
    FACTION - 0
    FACTION
    ARMY_ARRAY
    ARMY_ARRAY - 0
    ARMY
    UNITS_ARRAY
    UNITS_ARRAY - 4
    LAND_UNIT
There are the record nodes LAND_RECORD_KEY and UNIT_STATISTICS_BONUSES missing.
In the UNIT record node itself are 5 record nodes missing...
which are in the unchanged savegame file.

I see. That is very odd.

Great tool, I am very happy that save-game editting is possible in this game. Anyway, I'm wondering if it's possible to create new entries in the files instead of just editting them. One of the problems with this game is that it's very hard to have you faction leader married in this game. This tool would be able to fix that if I was able of adding a few lines myself.

I want to copy/add these lines

    And put/create them over here

Another way ist to use my tool @ http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?637771 and change all birth years of your characters every e.g. 40 years.
You find that feature in the "Edit" panel.
This is strange. When i posted this and saw your reply i did what you said and it was great. 4 turns per year exactly how i wanted. I meant to reply to you to say thanks for the help but got so into the game again it kinda got a bit delayed...

Anyway, since then i had to reinstall windows and Steam and Rome 2. Ran it for the first time and it's back to 1 turn per year, so i downloaded the ESF editor again, but it still shows 4 turns per year in the settings, not 1. So, i come back to my post and follow your advice on the savegame file again... only this time when SaveParser opens, i can't see where i should edit the TPY anywhere? I'm really confused now.

I can see where to edit the birth years, but really i'd like it back to 4TPY again like i managed to get it before.

What on earth am i doing wrong? How do i edit the TPY in the savegame file with SaveParser?

Any help much appreciated (and thanks for the help last time too

    Hello,
    You have to edit in the savegame with EditSF at following path: CAMPAIGN_SAVE_GAME --> COMPRESSED_DATA --> CAMPAIGN_ENV --> CAMPAIGN_MODEL --> CAMPAIGN_CALENDAR --> 1st entry.
There switch from 1 to 4.

But with the next version of SaveParser I will build in this function.

    UPDATE:
function built in with version 1.5.5.1

I think it is not possible with EditSF:

Hi I tried the camera rotation fix with this for Shogun 2, multiplayer coop. My friend can't move his camera anymore on the campaign map and changing the camera value from 0 to 1 doesn't work. I saved regularly and saved as a new file name, but the value will return to 0 on its own.

Hey Daniu, any chance you can help me identify what is wrong here?

it is one of my older startpos for NTW, i tried to do some adjustments but im unable to save any changes. I just dont want to rework entire file from a scratch as it is way too much work, so i would prefer to fix it somehow if you could point me in the right direction

How exactly do I edit the faction economics. I don't know what I'm doing with this thing, I installed it and extracted all files. I just need to know what to do after that. Please help. I just want to raise the starting amount of money for rome on the Grand Campaign.

    Hi.
I don't know if this is the right thread for the issue, but it seems to be the most recently used one for the issue:

When I edit Napoleon TW save games with edit SF 1.1.1 or 1.4.8 the game crashes upon loading - version 1.1.1 works fine for Rome 2 TW, however

    What can I do?
