What does lethality do for cavalry charges?
as far as i know for melee its the chance of someone dying vs. getting knocked down and getting back up when hit. but i've never seen anyone get up after going down from a cavalry charge, what does lethality rating do for this? or am i mistaken

Lethality is basically the chances of a blow causing death. The relative lethalities of one unit versus another have been carefully balanced against the natural tendencies of one animation skeleton against another which is why you see different values for some different units... otherwise some units would cause more deaths than others even with the same weapon statistics. This also helps with auto resolve.
Cavalry have very high charge attack values so this offsets relatively low lethality.
