How to bypass kingdoms launcher for third age total war.

I want to run third age total war , but when i launch third age the launcher comes up and when i click play third age it says app already running(because it tried to open the launcher aswell i think).
Is there a way i can disable kimgdoms.exe launcher or get third age to work around it?

1. What Windows do you have?
2. Is your M2TW steam or non steam version?
3. Have you installed all four TATW Installers ( 3.0 part 1 and part 2, 3.1 Patch, 3.2 Patch) ?
4. Does your M2TW work properly, and your Kingdoms too?

2. it is M2TW Gold steam version
3.I have all part installed in that order.
4.It works fine by itself

I just followed the steps , but i still get failed to start app already running error as well as a failed to connect to update server.

1. Restart Steam.
2. Start your M2TW game, start some campaign and after that, exit the game.
3. Verify the game cache as explained ( log in to STEAM > Library > right click on M2TW > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache).

4. If you have installed the game as explained in that thread I gave you the link for, then just start Steam M2TW Launcher, and start one of the Kingdoms campaigns which you renamed Third_Age_3 folder with ( if you renamed teutonic, then start teutonic campaign ). Also, you can try to add the game manually to M2TW Launcher Registry, it is explained here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...uncher-guide!!

I had what appeared to be a similar issue, and I had to use the Task Manager.

Press Ctrl Alt Del, and eliminate the processes related to kingdoms, medieval, and steam - in that order. The item that has stood in my way before has the word "Launcher" in its title.

The key thing is to go to Processes in Task Manager, Not Applications (where all of these are effectively invisible). The Launcher sometimes stays active even after the main program itself shuts down.

After this, restart Steam just like ElvenKind said.

I think ElvenKind is on the right track, but if your error is anything like mine was, this round-the-back solution may work.

Ok so i added the registry and it would only launch vanillia but i looked at the target folder and saw what was wrong.My file somehow split in 3:
inside of third age total war (wich was in mods) was another folder called mods inside that had all the data and another folder called mods inside their was another third age with only only data pack.
I took it all together and put it in one Third age folder no more mods inside mods and it worked : D
