Need help....about to give up

So I attempted to dl TATW and it worked 100% fine and I was playing MOS 1.6 for a little bit. I wanted to then test out the PCP mod. Because I didnt want to go through the hassle I just uninstalled TATW and reinstalled it to get rid of the MOS mod. I then downloaded PCP and it worked 100% fine until I initiated a real time battle.

As soon as I hit the "fight real time battle" I got the unspecified error crash as soon as i pressed it. I proceeded to delete maps.rwm. I then reloaded the campaign. As soon as I got to the battle screen and hit "Start Deployment" i got the same error. I then deleted the desc/geography things as well as the 27 string bins and disabled the UAC. I loaded the map and it worked(after i pressed stop deployment) their units took 3 steps and the game got the same error again.. I said OK maybe I installed wrong or maybe it has to do with me not patching Kingdoms to 1.5. I deleted TATW and re downloaded it completely. I patched Kingdoms to 1.5. Then installed TATW 3.0 1 and 2 then patches 3.1 and 3.2....I go to test if regular Vanilla TATW works and now everytime I hit the icon( or try to play regular kingdoms)it says "Disc not inserted, please insert original Kingdoms disc".....I JUST purchased Gold Edition off of Amazon via DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, so how the hell am I supposed to have the original disc?......I am getting very very frustrated and I cannot find a fix to this....Also the 1.5 Patch I downloaded was the gold edition one.

What do I do?

Also for my original problem with the game crashing I also disabled the daylights saving thing and it did not work either....The crashing happened when I was playing MOS but was fixed after i deleted maps.rwm....When I got the problems with PCP nothing fixed it at all...

Hmmm.. M2TW and it's problems.
1.What Windows do you have?
2. The 1.5 patch you installed, was it for Amazon version which can be located here : http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...ansion-Patches

3. Have you run PCP File Cleaner before installing PCP?

2. No I downloaded the standard Kingdoms Gold 1.5 off the official website
3. Yes I have, I hit the file cleaner and then the black box appeared(like as if I was doing /run), I presed enter to run it and as soon as I do that text rapidly appears and then the box disappears, so I do not know if it ran correctly

Update:

I downloaded the patch and Vanilla TATW as well as Kingdoms works as well without the disc so that problem is fixed...

Now how do I correctly install PCP?I read the installation guide and it was a bit confused...was wondering if you could try explaining it to me

When I try to run file cleaner it says "System cannot find file specified"

When I install the file cleaner into the data folder it says

"This program may not have installed correctly?

1: Install using compatibility settings

2:This program installed correctly"

Also when I try to run file cleaner it say

"The system cannot find the file specified"

Should I just download PCP file cleaner again?

Okay Update....

I followed those step by step instructions and successfully installed PCP, I did everything as directed...

Again I launch PCP go to campaign and play a battle

The battle plays for 10 seconds then crashes with the "Unexpected error" thingy...
I try a different campaign I hit start deployment for a battle and AGAIN it crashes....

I deleted maps.rwm
the desc.geography stuff
have daylights savings time unchecked
deleted all the bin strings in my text file...

Why is this still crashing?

What are your system specifications: processor type and GHz strength, GPU type and MB-GB strength, amount of RAM installed? Laptop or desktop PC?

Also now I get the error crash as soon as I select to start any campaign. As soon as I click my faction and hit continue it shows my faction intro video for a split second then immediately crashes

Delete map.rwm file in M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ data/ world/ maps/ base folder.

Also, AMD CPUs can be an issue when it comes to playing an M2TW Engine based submod, M2TW was never optimized to play with AMD.

I NEVER had a problem playing with MOS installed....why am, I getting problems with PCP?I have it installed 100% correctly

Before installing PCP, have you tested does your TATW 3.2 work and can you start a campaign? Also, have you edited Security for your main M2TW folder , and checked VirtualStore folder for M2TW folder and deleted it if you've found it there?

Are you trying to play one of the Fourth Age/Custom campaigns?

If you are, and lets say you want to play Third Age_Free For All campaign, then, Delete map.rwm file in M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW + PCP is installed/ data/ world/ maps/ campaign/ custom/ TA_FFA folder. If you can`t start a campaign even after that, then you installed it wrong..

Install it like this:

1. Delete folder where TATW+PCP are installed ( the one in your M2TW/ mods folder )

2. Get TATW 3.2 installed and check does it work and can you start a campaign ( NOTE: If it works, and if you have free space on your Hard Drive, then make a backup of Third_Age_3 folder somewhere so you can have it for future reinstallations, or just as a backup )

3. Download PCP Full Installer if you haven`t already ( during downloading don`t do some multitasking on your PC, or surf the Internet, you can get a bad download.. )
Make a NEW FOLDER somewhere outside of M2TW folder, install PCP_FILE_CLEANER into this NEW FOLDER, open NEW FOLDER, find Third_Age_3/data/ PCP_FILE_CLEANER.bat file.

Copy paste PCP_FILE_CLEANER.bat file into your M2TW/ mods/ Third_Age_3/ data folder, then locate it and run it so it can do its job ( it automatically closes don`t worry ) .

4. Make another NEW FOLDER-PCP, run PCP_FULL_INSTALLER and install it into this NEW FOLDER-PCP, open this NEW FOLDER-PCP, inside you will find Third_Age_3/data folder.

Copy paste data folder into your M2TW/ mods/ Third_Age_3 folder: Merge folders when asked, Copy and Replace files when asked. Start PCP and hope it works.

TATW Vanilla runs perfectly fine...the specified errors that I get for Vanilla are fixed after I delete maps.rwm

Also just to be sure PCP full installer is the same as PCP Beta 9.31.exe right?

So I did everything you said exactly

Freshly downloaded 3.0 TATW. 3.1 TATW Patch, 3.2 TATW Patch
Freshly downloaded PCP Beta 9.31 as well as PCP File Cleaner from the "installation info" section of the PCP mod

I try to play Fourth Age Custom Campaign B
I deleted EVERY map.rwm
Deleted all the string.bin files
Deleted descr_geography
Adjusted Daylights saving time
Turned off UAC
Gave my user full control over MEII Total War folder
Made sure all my folders are unhidden

Still getting crashes....Guess I was not meant to play PCP

1. Stil can`t start a new campaign?

2. Where is your M2TW installed? Tell us the correct folder destination.

3. What are those errors you mentioned for vanilla TATW, which were fixed when you`ve deleted map.rwm ?
