    Default Objectives and Bonus Objectives

    Hi

    I've been searching for a full overview over every factions Objectives and bonus objectives, but I haven't found anything yet. I love completing as many bonus objectives as possible. For both obvious monetary reasons ,but also historically reasons. I also find it helpful in planning new campaigns and

    So why not start a little guide. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Rome



    1 - Control 2 provinces - 2500

    1a - Hold Magna Graecia or Italia - 1000

    1b - Destroy or subjugate the Etruscan League - 1500

    1c - Be at war with Carthage - 1000



    2 - Maintain 60 units in total - 5000

    2a - Hold Corsica et Sardinia - 2500

    2b - Maintain 10 naval units - 2000

    2c - Research Naval Manouvres - 2000

    2d - Hold atleast one settlement in: Illyria, Macedonia and Hellas



    3 - Control 25 settlements - 7500

    3a - Hold: Italia, Magna Graecia and Cisalpin - 5000

    3b - Hold at least one settlement in: Mauretania and Africa - 3000

    3c - Hold at least one settlement in Tarraconensis, Cartaginensis and Baetica - 4000

    3d - Hold at least one settlement in: Provincia and Raetia et Noricum - 3000

    3e - Be at war with Macedonia - 2000

    3f - Be the overlord of 1 client state - 2000

    1: Completely control 2 provinces.
    1a: Forge a defensive or military alliance with Athens.
    1b: Subjugate Epirus.
    1c: Be at war with Macedon.

    2: Maintain 60 units total.
    2a: Maintain 10 units of spartan hoplites.
    2b: Subjugate Macedon.
    2c: Research 4 military technologies.
    2d: completely control Asia OR Thracia.

    3: Control 25 settlements.
    3a: Completely control Hellas.
    3b: Maintain trade relations with Egypt.
    3c: Forge a military or defensive alliance with Rome.
    3d: Research 'physical conditioning'.

    Great, I'd been looking for something like this Note that objectives relating to specific factions only appear if the faction still exists. For example, you won't be asked to ally with the Arverni if they've already been destroyed. The later chapters may be missing objectives because of this. Iceni 1 Hold 8 territories directly or through allies 1a Maintain 5 naval units 1b Make a faction join your confederation 2 Maintain 60 military units 2a Hold at least one settlement in Belgica and Germania Minor 2b Raze or sack 2 settlements 2c Research Improved Chariots 2d Hold all settlements in Britannia 3 Raze or sack 8 settlements 3a Hold at least one settlement in Suebia and Magna Germania 3b (Defensive) alliance with Arverni 3c Be at war with 2 germanic factions 3d Hold all settlements in Caledonia et Hibernia 4 Destroy 13 factions by taking their last settlement (cumulative from game start) 4a Hold at least one settlement in Hercynia and Raetia et Noricum 4b Be at war with Rome 4c Maintain 20 units of Painted Ones (building: Tavern, research: Tribal Totem, warrior code chain) 5 Raze or sack 12 settlements 5a Raze or sack Rome 5b Maintain trade with at least 5 factions 5c Hold at least one settlement in Dacia, Pannonia and Cisalpina 6 Hold all settlements in 12 provinces 6a Raze or sack 4 settlements 6b Hold at least one settlement in Illyria, Thracia and Italia 6c Research 14 military technologies 7 Maintain 120 military units 7a Hold all settlements in either Celtica, Aquitania or Provincia 7b Hold at least one settlement in Bythynia et Pontus and Galatia et Cappadocia 8 Hold at least one settlement in 50 provinces 8a Raze or sack 8 settlements 8b Hold all settlements in either Tarraconensis, Cartaginensis, Lusitania or Baetica 9 ???

    I wish there were faction-wide bonuses besides wealth as rewards. For example, diplo bonus with Eastern Factions, all with penalties and such. This would help define the campaign more.

    If you are willing to spend some time with the pack file editor:
    Mission objectives and bonus objectives can be found in

    data_rome2.pack -> campaigns -> main_rome -> missions.txt

    This is fascinating - do people actually plan their campaigns around these ?

    Apart from the recruit a diplomat or whatever ones, I ignore these - I pick them up more by accident than design.

    It's actually pretty fun trying to get all of them. And since the game is still easy as hell, and not very entertaining on it's own, this makes it a bit more fun.

    It can be quite fun...and a challenge.
    Some seemingly conflicting scenarios require you to plan 1-2 chapters ahead.

    As time permits in RL I'll be adding the chapter objectives for all playable factions.

    The bonus historic objectives can bring in a lot of cash if you manage to hit them all. While getting all the objectives becomes difficult as the game progresses, getting as many as possible rewards you with a large lump sum of cash, very useful for going on a building spree.

    They do however take a lot of foreward planning, especially the ones that require you to be at war with a certain faction or hold certain settlements For example, the Roman objectives; I would start planning for the province requirements for chapter 3 as soon as I go to war with Carthage, if not beforehand.
