    Default A TES RPG (Proposal)

This is merely a poll to determine setting (era and province). After that, I will begin the process of making a sound setting with my good friend BF and those who offer their assistance. Once it is ready, I will throw it up upon the forums.

I will ask that you make choose any and all eras as well as any and all provinces listed above.

    To clarify:
Early Fourth Era involves the Stormcrown Interregnum, the rise of the Medes and the end of the Void Nights
Late Fourth Era involves the crowning of Titus Mede II, the Great War and into the Elder Scrolls V setting

    Early Fourth Era huh?

    How about the Void Nights?
It was never really explained, and we could make our own intertwining story(ies) about it.

EDIT: We could also do multiple regions or all of Tamriel if everyone agrees to:
    - Stay in loose 'groups' so that no one is rp'ing alone for too long.
The idea is to have intertwining storylines running along all across Tamriel through the different characters, so it could work.

Morrowind is pretty screwed over in the Fourth Era.
You should note that it's not the same as we remember it from Elder Scrolls III (and thus the outrage among the fanbase about the canonized Argonian Invasion and Red Mountain eruption).

    Funny.
I actually loved it how the Argonians kicked the Dunmers asses and enlarged their territory, because they are awesome. <3

And still think Skyrim would be a cool place to RP. Cyrodil never was that interesting for me to be quite honest, like the Nordic feeling or the atmosphere of deadly swamps much more.

In the Early Fourth Era, Skyrim is rather quiet. Only a couple things happen; an effort is made by Skyrim to help refugees from Morrowind in the wake of the eruption and the Argonian invasion and they also grant a territory to Morrowind.

    Here
4E 16 — The High King of Skyrim formally gives Solstheim to the Dunmer
4E 20 — Refugees' Rest is decreed a monument commemorating the struggle faced by the refugees fleeing Morrowind.
---> Once a meeting place for refugees fleeing to Skyrim from Morrowind, Refugees' Rest is decreed by the Jarls of Skyrim as monument to the struggle of those who fled their native home of Morrowind in the time following the Red Year.

Things such as the Markath Incident and Ulfric don't happen till late 2nd century of the Fourth Era (4E 176, Late Fourth Era basically). I suspect we can make something up for Skyrim though. Cyrodiil would have a lot more potential with no emperor existing and the Elder Council on the verge of civil war between one another.

So excited this is on the table finally.
    Early Fourth, Second era
    Morrowind, Skyrim, Cyrodiil, Elsweyr
Morrowind is filled with intrigue, Skyrim is well....skyrim. Cyrodiil has everything under the sun, Dukes emperor's and all those nice guilds. Elsweyr ...void nights sounds hectic.

Seems like everyone wants to play early fourth era. Location might be tougher to determine though.

Well, in the early Fourth Era, pretty much High Rock, Hammerfell and Skyrim were quiet. Except one event that happens in Sentinel, Hammerfell where Altmer dissidents flee from Alinor and are attacked by Thalmor agents in what is called the Night of Green Fire. Pretty much all the events are happening in Cyrodiil, Morrowind, Black Marsh, Elyswer, Valenwood and Summerset Isle. So, since the popular vote appears to be Skyrim, we would have to make some internal troubles up perhaps.

Cyrodiil as a main hub with access to all of Tamriel perhaps?

I don't really like Argonians that much.
I don't treat them badly or anything, I just don't play them in TES games.

As for Morrowind being 'occupied' by Argonians:
Maybe I'm wrong, but Black Marsh seems like it's just a bunch of tribal kingdoms.
I can't really see them ruling over House Dres' lands with much 'stability' for long.

It seems there's been some brain farts on Bethesda's part in the past few years.
I mean.. really? Umbriel? A floating city that turns people who fall under it into zombies? Powered by Umbra?
    C'mon Bethesda.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

    ----------------------------------------------------------

I like the idea of the Illiac Bay; Southern High Rock and Western Hammerfell.
